Dr. Ndahayo Fidele
Chief Executive Officer
Dr Fidele Ndahayo is the Chief Executive Officer of Rwanda Atomic Energy Board (RAEB). Before joining RAEB, he had a very long experience in academia since 1998. He served several terms as the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Rwanda (former National University of Rwanda). He also served as the President of the Rwanda National Commission for UNESCO from 2010 until 2014.
In 2018, he joined the Technical Working Group that was tasked to assess the possibility for Rwanda to embark on nuclear energy projects. In 2020 he worked as a Nuclear Energy Expert in the Ministry of Infrastructure.
He holds a PhD in Physics and Mathematics with specialization in nuclear and particle physics.
